Our client is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.

THE ROLE


The ideal candidate will have four or five years post qualified experience in contract/commercial law, preferably within the IT/Telecoms market.

The main focus of the role will be to manage contractual issues for the company's suppliers/customers.

This position will require regular liaison with all internal departments as well as customer/supplier facing.

Key Duties

· Advising key departments on ad-hoc contractual questions
· To examine and summarise customer agreements.
· To draft alternative clauses where necessary
· To negotiate customer agreements in conjunction with sales
· In-depth detailed research on various issues/projects.
· To liaise with European branches, regulators and external counsel where necessary
· Ad hoc projects as they arrive
· Update contract database
· General administrative duties including contract bundling, filing, letters

ABOUT YOU

Essential:
· Experience in dealing with external customers/clients
· Ability to manage and prioritise heavy and variable workload
· Proven accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to read contracts quickly and determine salient points
· Enthusiastic and hard-working
· Good negotiation skills to deal with internal departments and for future external contact

Desirable:
· Knowledge of telecom/IT sector
· Experience in global or multicultural company
· Additional language such as French and/or German

Education (Essential):
· Degree in Law plus postgraduate Legal Practice Course or Bar Vocational course
· 4 or 5 years post qualified experience in contract/commercial law
